Taking my time, this time.

So I've been taking my time getting back into the running. Instead I've been walking 'with determination' for 1-2 hours daily for the last couple months. Finally got the gumption up to redo the first c25k run and... ah yah, this will be fun/challenging all over again! Im' in no hurry this time, I think I might do each week twice before moving on to the next week. Especially with our brutal summers just coming online. I never learned to enjoy the running, but I do enjoy the benefits and sense of accomplishment.

Welcome back to the forum jaybro28 and well done on getting restarted.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help, if you need reminding.

Enjoy your journey.

I was up to week 7 but haven’t run for 2 weeks mainly because the weather was so nice I was using exercise time to get out and walk for 1-2hours instead. I’ve also had a head cold and/or hay fever which hasn’t helped the enthusiasm. I can’t say I’ve ever lived running either but I do enjoy the thrill when I’ve run for a little longer than the week before. I will probably head back to week 4 and pick up from there again. Good luck on your next run 🏃‍♂️
