I nearly completed this two years ago then my dad got ill. He has just passed due to contracting Coronavirus while in hospital waiting for a procedure. I’m missing him terribly and the end was so horrible - none of my family could go see him! I’m going to complete this time - just finished W1R2. I’m going to do it for me and my dad.
For you, Dad ❤️❤️❤️: I nearly completed this two... - Couch to 5K
For you, Dad ❤️❤️❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss but what a lovely thing for you to do in his memory x
My heart is with you x
So sorry for your loss.
What a lovely idea to start running again.
I wish you every success and hope every run gives you strength and feels like your Dad is there with you, cheering you on!
The very best of luck 👍🏻
So sorry for ur loss. I’m sure Dad would be very proud. I’m on week 5 u will really enjoy it xxx
My sympathies for your loss. So hard at this time, even worse than usual. When I see feathers on the ground as I run I think it is my mum(white) and dad (grey) cheering me on. Happy running.
Sending you virtual hugs xx
I lost my Mum two weeks ago in hospital (stroke), so I understand your sadness and frustration with all the craziness surrounding no-visiting.
Today the sun is shining, there are flowers in bloom, take one day at a time, I found sitting in the garden listening to the birdsong highly therapeutic. Xx
You can do this, for yourself and your Dad. I'm betting he'll be with you all the way 💖
I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope running will be a positive thing in your life x
I'm so sorry. We're all right behind you, willing you on. Xx
So sorry. What a lovely tribute though xx

Welcome back to the forum and well done on getting restarted.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Your Dad would be proud of you.
Enjoy your journey.
