healthunlocked.com/strength.......

Take a look at the linked exercises...you may find them helpful:)

Make sure you are doing your post run stretches after every run too.

A massage stick or roller can be extremely useful too for loosening those tight muscles, but both need to be used properly.

Also, now you are doing the longer runs, do make sure that you up your strength and stamina work too, on some of your rest days:)

You do say also that you compressed the course... and that means if you have not followed and completed the programme, that may account for this pain?

Look on YouTube for calf raises, heel drops etc. And invest in a foam roller.

Forget cold showers and ice baths - leave those to the professionals.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started, but compressing the plan is not a wise thing to do, unless you are fully aware of how our bodies adapt to the stresses of running.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
