I am very grateful to read so many comments, wether positive or negative. I am learning from them to be honest with youself. I don’t always feel like running, and I have to push my self hard mentally. But I completed run 1 week two yesterday and I actually feel great. May I thank everyone who post, and encourage all those who struggle, just keep going. I two never thought I would be able to do a C25K, but here I am. My favourite line in any move, is from finding nemo “ just keep swimming “ or in out case running.
Grateful : I am very grateful to read so many... - Couch to 5K
Grateful

I know what you mean - have been running again now for over 2 years and I had one of “ those” runs today after a streak of really good happy ones. But
1. I know why I felt like it ( poor sleep/ not enough water yesterday/ junk eating)
2. It was still a 30 minute run
3. I am glad I went out there and ran instead of sitting about thinking “ oh it’s drizzly”
4. To paraphrase Scarlett OHara “ tomorrow is another run”.
I’m going to drink plenty of water today, eat properly ( nice beef casserole already in the oven with loads of veggies) and go to bed at a decent time instead of binge watching Heroes
And then more of the same tomorrow and I’m sure Fridays run will be better.
It’s never worth beating yourself up about a “ bad” run - it’s still a run and I find if I put my running gear beside the bed at night and just fall into it in the morning then I find I’m out there running without having time to think I don’t really fancy it this morning. I always feel better once I’ve done it and worse if I don’t.
Well done on getting started and keep up the good work. I’m off to make a cake now for my daughter’s birthday tomorrow
Am so glad to have found this forum, it’s very inspirational. I guess cos we’ve all started as non runners but whom are now running!
Keep on keeping on!!
