Any Fixes? Wk 3 after 1st 3min run (+walk), right calf goes solid.

Tried wife-favoured Japanese slow running-ish, but even more frustrated, as didn't even gt out of breath. This is why I stopped running about 2 years ago, but now it seems worse, as then it kicked in after about a mile. My own suggestion? walking 2-4 miles per day initially, to give my calf more stamina. (Former x-country runner and generally fit)

An acquaintance of mine, a lifelong runner, gave up for nearly a year, having all sorts of interventions from physios, after suffering what sounds like a similar symptom. He now wears long compression socks for all his runs and for a few hours afterwards and is now back out doing twenty minute 5ks at the age of 70.

Got to be worth a try.
