Did my first 25 minute run (W6R3) and was feeling super stoked because even though it was tough I did it. Then woke up the next day with plantar fasciitis. Gutted. I have had it twice before in the same foot and know the recovery regime and how long it is going to take to heal (ages). Very disappointed to have to pause C25K. Anyone got any tips to stop it happening again? Think I will be off running for at least a couple of weeks based on past experience of having it.

Well done in getting to this point in the programme, do remember it is just a guide though, we’re all different. My journey was very similar to yours, I got to about week 7 and got PF, which is an overuse injury, I took a couple of weeks off, then went back to it, however, the PF came back, so, I decided to take the pressure off and cut back to 2 runs a week, did loads of stretching - which I still do religiously (fear of that pain 😱) and didn’t look back .....yes, took me a lot longer to ‘graduate’ but I have gone on to run half marathons running twice a week, which I still do.
Hope it settles for you soon

Sorry about your injury Lobajo but congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, although you will have to rest from running until your injury heals, I hope for not too long, by completing that run, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, that I hope will cheer you up.
