I first did 0-5k in the autumn of 2017, I slowed off and stopped with work, post grad study (for work) and family life. Then completed again in early 2019 only to have an awful time with plantar fasciitis which lasted for months. I then decided to lose some weight first and try again, and here I am...... This time I’ve been thinking more about what follows, I have a very slow plan to maintain this progress and get in time to a 10k. I’d like to run the 11k round Llyn Alwen (a favourite place to walk) later in the year, when that is permissible again. This time I’m set on that!

Well done! Great to have goals. When you start again do you start from week 1? Or do you choose one of the later weeks?

Consistency definitely pays off doesn't it..? I've just started back a few weeks ago. I did my last run in October last year, suffering from a pretty severe back/hip issue but have since done quite a lot of intensive physio and taking more rest days which seems to help a lot. I was running 10k when I stopped. When I restarted my first 2 runs were a mile each, then I ran 15 mins and today 20 mins. Today felt good and I'm delighted with that so will keep going...hopefully back to hr runs pain-free, here's hoping. Best of luck with your endeavours too
