Knee hurting

It was going so well... today I was meant to do W4 R2 and I bailed because my left knee felt a bit weak and painful / tender around the knee cap. First time I’ve felt any body complaints since I started. I did find the W4 R1 difficult and it was the first run that felt like I had to push myself quite hard to complete it.

I’m concerned about damaging my knees by carrying on. Especially at the moment! So to be safe I’m not running on it.

Really not sure what to do, other than rest it for now. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal? If you have any advice please share, I was just getting into running it would be a shame to stop now :(

The guide to the plan has advice on dealing with injury, minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

IannodaTruffe says it all so rest a bit longer and take it slow when you next run
