Hi Liz. You may need to get dr advice first unless your pain is manageable. I take only a couple of Naproxen a week to help with any swelling. My daughter has the same as you but manages to walk a couple of miles to work and back. Don’t know how a slow jog will suit you but good luck. Read ALL the advice on C25k site before you set off as its invaluable and good luck 🍀

Hi Liz.

I have ME - and Cerebral Palsy and am on Week 3, run 1 this time around. I managed to graduate 3 years ago, so it can be done. I had to stop as had a hysterectomy but determined to keep it up this time.

I do sympathise though - it isn't easy when your body feels like it's done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson all day, every day (& night).

Good luck. Be kind to yourself and get there in your own time and way - and run SLOWLY!

i think that’s fab that you managed to graduate in spite of your health issues ..that’s really encouraging ..I’ve had M.E for any years in varying degrees and find I’m full of enthusiasm when I start a fitness programme but seem to have relapses which prevent me from completing as I have to go back to beginning again ..which I find demoralising ...

It’s great to hear that it can be done ...as I really enjoyed my running ..

Going to restart ..if I can get hang of technology 😂 thank you ..

Welcome and congratulations on starting the best plan!! I’m no doctor but that condition is in my family and you may find you need additional rest days in between especially at the beginning as with new activities your sensors may go into over drive and hit you extra hard. Slow and steady you’ll see is often the advice on here.....you know your body best and how to manage your condition but be extra gentle on yourself x

I am running with fibro too 👍 take it slow and take more breaks and do more walking if you need to. Don’t feel you have to match what the app says exactly.
