Hello everyone, I did my W1R2 today, with the podcast, and just found this amazing online community! Going well so far, but I was wondering if you have tips to avoid stitches? Thanks in advance!

Newbie!
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
The advice for stitches given on the podcasts is to slow down and take several deep breaths. It worked for me on the one occasion I have had a stitch.
Poor hydration can also contribute to stitch. As a runner you need to drink 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.
Enjoy your journey.
Well done on starting. It's an incredible plan and this forum is full of positivity. I think plenty of water during the day but only a small amount if any before a run. Make sure you go out not too soon after eating and start slowly. Keep a slow, steady and comfortable pace.
Keep going, you've so many achievements to realise!
Thank you IannodaTruffe and GTFC for your replies and advice! 😊
Hi! Hope everyone’s doing well. A quick message to say that I went for my 3rd run yesterday and I didn’t get a stitch! 🙌 thanks again!
