Today’s run was about mindfulness - I am lucky enough to have lovely outdoor spaces on my doorstep and so today’s run mainly across field paths provided lots of opportunities to really see, hear and smell the beautiful world around me. Lockdown has also increased the number of couples and families taking time to enjoy the outdoors together - so nice to see 😊🐑🦋🐴🦆🐞🌲🌸🦥🦥🦥

I love running outdoors but usually listen to music as a distraction from the physical difficulties!
I forgot to press play on my headphones when I ran on Thursday, a few minutes in I realised and automatically put my hand up to start the music...then thought how nice it was to hear the birds, feel the wind etc.
I left it off and really enjoyed just running with nature (once I'd zoned out how much heavier my breathing was than I'd realised 😆).
Now more than ever seems a good time to really take the time to appreciate the great outdoors and be grateful that's something we can still safely do 😊
Agree with you totally. Mindfulness and running go hand in hand.
It is a very good reminder to enjoy and savour our surroundings 🌸😊🌸
