I completed Week 2 run 1 today. I managed the longer run but am now suffering with pain on inner side of left knee which is tender to touch plus sore ankles. I’m worrying that this will continue and I won’t be able to run and I so don’t want to give up on this! I’m too scared to take ibuprofen at the moment. Does anyone have any tips?

Hi Rilke, I had a pain in my inner knee after week 2. I now do lots of knee strengthening exercises on rest days and I ice my knee after every run. I am now on week 6 and touch wood the knee seems much better. Hope this helps.
I have the same and had a (virtual) session with my physio. She gave me loads of knee strengthening exercises, real focus on hips and core on non run days. Plus, if you have one, a foam roller is great. Yesterday I did Week 2 run 2 and it held out. See if that helps perhaps

I'm doing run 3 on week 2 tomorrow and experiencing the same pain. Have you tried any of the sprays?
