This morning I set out on a mission - not to do my //fastest// run, but to do a comfortable run.
One of my knees has been complaining, so I missed out on strength training yesterday in order to help it rest for my run. Double-strapped with knee supports, off I went.
I warm-up walked through some inclines until I found that lovely stretch of flat, wide pavement and off I went, my old running friend Niko-Niko helping me start off gently until I eased into a wee bit more speed. Passed a couple of dog walkers, went up and down 4 times on my route and then back home. Knee didn't complain, I felt good and when I checked my pace at the end, yes it was slow, but faster than I had expected.
Job jobbed!!
So, deadlifts, boxjumps and squats are on hold for now, saving my knees for my runs, which are now my priority
