Sometimes changes are forced upon us, and today I got to my stadium to find it closed due to the C19. Gosh, it's a small thing really compared to what many other people have to deal with, but I had prepared myself for this run, and I needed it to be easy if possible. So I had to find somewhere else to go, and I wasn't going to see my smiling girl. But this is good, I need to learn to break the routine and try different routes and terrains.
And I did it. There is a wide footpath alongside a railway track which went through some industry, over the railway, up some grassy banks, and luckily Laura spoke when the 15 minute point was reached, so I was able to turn round and then come back.
Warm sun on the clothing, but cold air for breathing, a strange combination of hot and cold. It is the air that gets cold here, not so much the ground. It was still hard, and I kept a constant but fairly slow pace. Breathing is the limiting factor for me, but I have a rhythm at least, and it is not really warm yet.
I am very happy to have got this far. i don't feel physically fit yet, but I am not ill.
Two more to go....
