Wasn’t feeling it yesterday but my lovely Pilates instructor did an live online class on Facebook yesterday as the classes are now not running. She has promised us a “live” class online each week, when we would normally attend and I also belong to her online website too. I pay £14 a month and can sign in and find a class or 2 or 3 whenever I fancy which is ideal especially at the moment. She updates constantly and offers recipes/ relaxation/ specific area sessions ie legs, core, arms and shoulders, .. even a session for runners.
If anyone’s interested while we are trapped at home
Anyway yesterday’s class was concentrating on breathing well and lung health - good for these times.also in relieving stress (which affects our immune systems)so all in all a good fun class.
So this morning I was feeling more like it and popped out for a 30 minute canter. Streets were fairly deserted which suits me fine and my head felt much clearer when I had finished. Like the rest of you I expect, I am fine when I am pottering about, watching tv, doing my crochet, gardening, even reading my bedtime book but as soon as I turn that light off my brain goes into over drive and I cannot get off to sleep. It was about 2.30am the last time I glanced at my watch before I finally dropped of. I have found an App that does guided meditation to help you drop off so I am trying that tonight.
And I have a days work tomorrow, basically sitting at a desk and answering the phone all day. So I thought I’d better get moving today and glad I did. I also managed a bit of a walk after lunch to stretch out my legs so I’m not resorting to running round in circles in my back garden yet.
Keep safe and happy running folks 💕💕
