Did week 7 run 3 this morning at the local lake and just kept going, I’m a slow runner but kept on to 38 mins which was just over 5k I felt I could have gone on for longer but don’t want to over do it!
Question is what do I do for week 8, go back to the 28 mins or maybe up the time to 30 ie jump to week 9 ?

I am no medical professional. I am not even a decent runner yet. As an opinion though, I would suggest following the plan. There are plenty of posts on here about people pushing a bit harder and getting injured, and ending up missing weeks/months recovering.
There are years ahead of you to go further and faster... curb the impatience, and enjoy the journey!
Stick with the programme and you'll get there. It's tempting to skip ahead but you may regret it and you're almost there anyway.
As regards time, I can only dream of being as quick as you at the moment. Most people don't do 5k in 30 minutes by graduation. It should be called Couch 2 As Far As You Can Get In 30 Minutes, but I guess that doesn't trip off the tongue so well 😂
Sounds great. I think it is possible for us all to 'push ahead' on a good day. (I completed a 5k Parkrun at the end of Week 6, then struggled with the Week 7 25-minuters).
The programme builds stamina, so I am going to (and I think this is a sound recommendation) press ahead with the programme.
