I’m a 60 year old lady who has decided to do something about my appalling lack of fitness. I’ve just completed wk6 run 2 - I’ve found it really hard. I seem to manage the 20 minute run last week easier than 2 x 10 minute runs today. Anyone else struggled with this?

Hi MaxMilo, I also ran w6r2 today and found the first few minutes of the first run really hard but it got easier as I went on. The first minute or so of the 2nd 10 minutes was also not pleasant but got better quite quickly. I have read a few posts stating that until you have warmed up enough your body will struggle. A few posts suggest dynamic stretches before a run but I have not tried that yet. I just hope the last run of w6 makes me as happy as the last run of w5 😁

W6R1 catches many out..........relax, it's all uphill from here.
Enjoy your journey.

Hi, well done! I’m 63 and like you wanted to get fitter. Those 1st 2 runs of Week 6 catch loads of people out but now you have 4 runs all the same. I’ve just completed week 7 (week 8 R1 tomorrow) so looking forward to completing, keep us posted, you will get lots of support.

Yep! I'm the same age as you and at exactly the same stage of the programme. I do run 3 tomorrow and I'm hoping that the 25 minute run will recapture that fab feeling of doing the 20 minutes. Got through run 1 &2 OK but didn't enjoy it that much either...
