Graduation tomorrow - why do I feel nervous?

So the big graduation run is tomorrow. It could have been today but I have put off till tomorrow because

A) still struggling following a chest infection

B) Friday feels a better day to graduate and celebrate with a glass of red

C) because I’m anxious about being parted from Laura! Is this normal to feel a sense of bereavement about not hearing a total strangers voice three times a week?? 😂😂😂😂

Hi dh

Good luck you will do it, go for it! I was nervous too , silly isnt it but its hard work to get there so the sense of achievement is great! I missed Laura so much but gradually we have accepted the parting of our ways as we have grown apart! Lost my earphones the other week and was gutted running with no help or music but managed the run anyway and felt good. Let us all know how it goes, we are with you all the way!

Nervous is just the flip side of excited! You will have a blast, and that smile won’t leave your face for hours 😁😁😁 Have a great run and enjoy that celebratory glass of red 🏃🏼‍♀️🍷🏆

A. Yeah so excited...but be careful with chest...next Friday is still there is you don't feel well.

B. Very true. Same as above...and true about Saturday.

C. You don't have to be parted she does a Coach to 5k plus. To consolidate ...but you could just keep playing week 9.

All saying...go for it...can't wait to read the post. 🏃‍♀️🤝👍

Up to you DH of course, but in my humble opinion I think the main thing is make sure your chest is ok and you’re feeling physically well enough.

So long as that it the case, I reckon go for it.

If not, wait until you are feeling better.

Either way I think it’s normal and good to have some nerves....it just means you care about it.

Relax and enjoy it.

I only graduated last week, and I wondered how would I manage without Michael Johnson encouraging me .... but I’ve actually been fine so far and I’ve also enjoyed the comparative freedom of doing a few consolidation runs without having that voice in my ears.

Happy running , when you’re fit.
