So started c25k on the 3rd of Jan just done W4 R2. The shin splints when I started were quiet bad but they have died down now I did ice them a couple of times which seemed to help. I have flat feet which can get quiet sore but again icing them when they are bad can help as well as stretches and rolling them

You started about the same time I did. My next run will be W4R2. I also suffered from shin splints - think it is quite common in beginner runners. Mine seem to be easing but they still get sore after running - pain takes 2-3 days to dissipate. The advice I was given was to do strengthening exercises - calf raises - and slow the runs down.
Good luck with the rest of the plan.

I’ve just done wk4 run 2 today as well, hi! Each week so far I’ve had a ‘complaint’ from a different part of my body which has sprung up and then subsided. This week, it’s hips. I expect it’s all just very surprised and wondering why, after 9 years of inactivity owing to injury, it’s being asked to do something! What it doesn’t know is that I’m aiming to be back on a snowboard next winter. Hopefully I can sneak that one past my body too without-too- much complaining.
Good luck with the last run of week 4. Sarah is no longer a cheery comedian in my book, I shout back at her lol ... and I can’t look a banana in the face now.
