Just been following in Joanney69’s footsteps in more ways than one, and have completed the above run.
I didn’t have the best of starts, my comedy podcast with a stand up routine by Eddie Izzard somehow stopped within a minute of starting to run. That meant that I was fiddling around with both hands trying in vain to get that podcast back for the first minute
Instead of running the remaining 27 mins in silence I switched to a football ⚽️ podcast, then put my phone away thankfully.
One (of many things) I’m not good at running wise is pacing myself. So today I deliberately set off a little slower than usual, and I’m glad I did because today felt like an overall better run today compared to the last one or two.
Half way around, Michael is telling me it’s about distance not speed ( and there’s me cheekily thinking 🤔 yes but the faster I go the more distance I’ll cover....but who am I to question the great Michael ).
The last part of my run today was uphill a bit, so I know I slowed down...but I keep going ....probably at the speed of a galloping tortoise ....but I kept going.
At the end I felt I could go on for another while, perhaps because I didn’t set off to quickly.
Glad to get this run done, and can’t believe that I’m at the end of week 8 already.
PS — when I said I was following Joanney69s footsteps in more ways than one, 10 mins in to the run today I really felt an urge to go to the loo. I’m not going in to anymore detail than that, just to say I was glad to get home 🏠 phew 😅
