Chest infection

I’m on w7 but have been really struggling with my breathing especially outdoors, on the treadmill it’s not been too bad. Today I discovered I’ve got a chest infection and a slightly enlarged heart. I don’t know what to do, should I carry on or should I wait until I’ve finished my course of antibiotics? Any advice would be appreciated, i don’t want to do myself more harm but I also don’t want to have a break with me doing so well

Definately take a break - finish your antibiotics and give your body time to recover. It is not advisable to run with a chest infection. 🙁 You really won't lose much progress for some time out and will feel all the better for it. 🙂👍

Thankyou, I think that would be the best and the most sensible thing to do 🙂

If it was just a cold and you felt okay I would say keep running. But as it's a chest infection definitely no.

Hope you're feeling better soon 😊

That makes it a struggle to do anything we aren’t medically trained but definitely the advice is to not run with chest infection, the runs can wait you have to get better first though

When you run you stress your body.

When you are ill your body is under stress.

Give yourself a rest and start again when fully recovered, otherwise you may exacerbate your illness.

Finish the antibiotics is my advice...as Sandraj39 says. Your body is fighting... you run and it has to fight harder...

Rest up... the runs wait... always!
