So I've not run for 2 weeks due to various issues, I'm going to start again tomorrow.

I had got up to wk 5. Should I just pick up where I left off or go back a couple of weeks ?

Thanks x

Welcome back.... head out... a little jogette.... no thought of distance or time... just head out and listen to your body...it is your best guide.

It is at least two weeks before we lose fitness ( other than severe injury, or illness).

If all feels well.... having jogetted at slower than slow... after a day's rest, ( or a touch of strength and stamina work), take the next run , relaxed and gently and see how you go.

I feel you might be absolutely fine:)

Keep us posted please:)

You can... and we will be right there beside you... I am the one whispering in your ear... slow and steady :) xx

My advice would be to not set yourself any really hard targets but to go out & try the last run that you did again. (Already you're onto a mental winner here because you know you've already done that). See how that goes and if it goes OK (as I suspect it will), you know where you are and you can move on. If you find it difficult you can decide whether to repeat just that run, or the whole week. Until you try, you won't know what your body is capable of but from what I've read, if you've only been away from it for a couple of weeks you should be fine. Come back and tell us what happens!
