Onto week 7!

Braved the snow and slush this morning to complete wk6run3. I like to have a read and comment in the forum before I go as it helps me feel motivated, but I made the mistake of checking my work emails after that and the mental energy drained from me.

I read some emails and started to feel overwhelmed and as I put on my trainers I started to feel tired and negative, the ‘hopeless’ feeling I sometimes battle with creeping in. I decided to go out anyway (I did briefly consider not going) and found the first 5-7 mins of running quite hard, but then I (literally) turned a corner and the sun started to shine through the sleet and I lifted my eyes to the sky and started to enjoy it.

I didn’t tackle the second big hill i normally do and opted for a slightly flatter route, but all in all a good run, and now feeling more relaxed and positive again. Off to work where hopefully the more positive feeling will help me take on today’s challenges.

Sorry for the long post and once again thank you all for your support. Love and peace ✌🏼

Well done for going out for the run after the work emails. I was reading that the rhythm and mindfulness of a gentle jog can help you process issues (such as work dross). However, as you have found it definitely does help with frame if mind anyway so well worth it.👀 👍

The problems don't go away after a run, but they are definitely more manageable. X
