Week 5.3: Was not looking forward to this at all. No way I was fit enough. But the only way I could have justified not going out was if it was raining. The sky was cloudless. So no excuses.
So off I went, conciously making sure I paced myself better than previous runs (I failed at this again). 5 minutes in and Sanjeev came on saying well done, an to be fair I did feel quite good at this point. Five minutes later I was like meh, I'm still ok. Probably panting too much but other than that, no problems. 15 minute mark up he comes again with a time check. I quite literally burst out laughing. Completely in shock by what I have done, but continiued plodding on....
I couldn't believe it. I had completed the 20 minutes. The tears in my eyes were not only from the bitter wind, but had tears of joy and disbelief I had actually managed to do it. I still can't believe it.
Completing this week is something I never thought I would have been able to do. Going from 8 minute stretches to 20 I thought it was too much. But like Sanjeev said, it was a battle of the mind not my fitness.
Thanks for all the support guys,

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran. 😊 🏃🏾
Lovely post - this is definately one of the special runs - 20 mins running! ☺️💪 Note AlMorr 's comment about Week 6 run 1 - don't let it catch you out - you can do this!💪🙂
