I’m on wk 7 and just completed run 1 (woohoo)... for the first time I ran up a steep-ish ramp and got a really sharp, searing pain on the outer side of my foot, it almost feels like something is tearing. It happened on another ramp as well, same pain, same motion.
The pain goes pretty quickly and doesn’t have any lasting impact. Has happened after running on treadmill and then walking down the stairs at the gym before but goes away once I’ve stopped.
Anyone else get this? Or know what it is or how to make it stop?
Thanks!

If your shoes have not been fitted after a gait analysis, then they may be totally inappropriate for your running gait.
Hey I wondered where you’d been. I’m still on the same run as you.
I haven’t had that pain but searing pains are the kinds of thing that I’d worry about. One problem is that GPS are so swamped, when in the past I went and said running made my knee hurt, I just got “don’t run”. Eventually, something went in my knee during my non running years and then I was seen.
Maybe you can consider, if you do all the sensible stuff like stretch and wear good trainers etc, is seeing a physio or sports massage therapist.
Hey. I’m ok but I’ve noticed some pain under my heels and am going to take the last few weeks a bit slower. I don’t mean my physical speed but rather that I will have at least two recovery days between runs. More if I need it.
My goal with C25K was actually to run 20 mins. I will probably get to the end of the plan because I don’t like giving up but then I might settle down to a mix of walking (which I do daily, 2-5 miles) and shorter runs just for heart and bone health.
