Hi all, greetings from Washington DC! I thought I'd post a quick update to report on life after C25K. I graduated C25K in September 2019, turned 50 in November, and am still bobbling along. I generally get one or two sessions in on weekends, and I can still make it for 30 minutes at a go, but weekdays haven't been working for me unless it's a federal holiday and I'm off work. (I'm not keen on getting up early, and I'm tired when I get home!) So, I finally joined the gym at the office. We don't really have time to take a full blissful hour off at lunchtime, but today I snuck in a 20-minute jog, at a quicker pace than I manage for the longer sessions. My plan is to grab shorter, faster jogs during the work week, and work on longer jogs on weekends until I really can go 5K. There's a 5K race in August 2020 (at a horror convention ) that I want to complete!
I hope everyone's well and happy and staying on track. If I can do it, really, truly anyone can!

That's a nice post from you in WashingtonDC Perygl, its now five months since you graduated and are still running whenever you can, especially at the weekends and can run for 30 minutes, well done, great that you have joined a gym, that's an interesting one, a 'horror' convention, I just hope it's not a horror 5k run you do in August, no, I wish you luck for that 5K run in August, plenty of time to prepare for it.
Well done on bobbling along post graduation Perygyl - and what a glorious place to do it! I have many happy memories of my 3 years there - it’s where I first saw loads of people jogging. And thought they were all bonkers! These days I’d be joining them! Happy running!
Hi Perygl, it’s great to hear you are still running & finding a way to fit it around your life style. Shorter runs during the week & longer at the weekend sounds perfect. 😄
