Tonight's was W4R2 and was the hardest yet. Got my breathing nailed and felt good and strong. From my waste down ....different story 😩 nothing in my legs. They absolutely killed!! So heavy and hard to move however I did NOT stop. So I guess I'm kinda proud of that. Well done to everyone out in that horrible weather tonight! It's a chilly one ❄❄❄
All the lungs but no legs ! : Tonight's was W4R... - Couch to 5K
All the lungs but no legs !
Heavy legs are symptomatic of poor hydration.
As a runner you need to drink 2-3 litres of fluid every day running or not, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
Well done, you pushed through, but good preparation can reduce the likelihood of a "bad" run.
If you're not dehydrated as suggested it may be that you are just tired and could do with an extra rest day?.. But we all have hard runs, well done for keeping going and sure the next one will be easier!!
Extra kudos to anyone going out in cruddy weather. Well done. Hope the legs come back for your next run. Well done!
