Does anyone do jogging at nighttime or jog with their dogs. Just curious about it?

I go out with my dog, I prefer early mornings with him when there's not many people about. We've the gear for canicross as we bikejor too but running with him is definitely different to biking with him

Plenty of people run with their dog, some have ran every run and week of C25K with their dog including the graduate run of week 9 and a week later ran their first parkrun with their four legged friend. 😊 🏃🏾

I usually go out straight after I get home from work, usually about 5pm. If I sat down, I'm not convinced I'd be able to summon the will to go out again.

I love running in the dark though. But as the lighter days start to arrive, I may need to switch to early morning running!

I go in the early mornings because I prefer it that way but it’s up to you however you want to do it 🙂

I go out early when it’s still dark with my dog. We are just back from W3R1.

I have dogs and am an early morning runner, but I go out on my own! I go out early for a number of reasons. First of all as someone who has never been a runner (or at all athletic) I felt very self-conscious about my running and just didn't want to be seen (or at least recognised), so I get up an hour early on my running days, and get it done without it impacting my day. (I also know that if I left it until later I would have 100 excuses why I couldn't/shouldn't do it today!) I run from my house, through the streets and back again, there would be too many distractions like lamp posts and things for the dogs. Plus although I need distractions myself so I'm not aware of how much longer I have to go, I wouldn't want the distraction of the dogs (or anyone else ) with me when I'm running, I need to do it at my own pace. That's my way but I appreciate that we are not all alike.

Everyone has their own preferences, I like to run in the evenings. I find that it helps me process, particularly after a hard day, but some people enjoy mornings and say it energises them, but that's the way, different strokes for different folks!

I would take my dogs if there was any possibility that they would run calmly by my side, but the plain truth is that they would get too excited and drag me along or bark around my feet and trip me up! I am trying to train them to run with me, but I only have a hope in hell with one and the other would go mental if I didn't take them both out together. This might take a very long time, and am not counting on even being able to do it!
