Hi. Just completed run 1 of week 3. It was tough but not as bad as I thought it would be! Yay! But I didn't get any further than previous weeks before the halfway signal. I thought I would have been covering extra mileage with the longer runs? And yet my phone app is showing pretty much the same mileage covered. Why is that? I didn't clock the time. Will I have done it in slightly less time?? That 5k feels a million miles away still!

Do try not to focus on distance. The important thing is just to run. You may have settled naturally into a slower pace for these slightly longer runs. That's all good!
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

In W2 and W3 you run for the same amount of time, only the duration of intervals has changed.
Enjoy your journey.
I think it’s fair to say that most people haven’t run 5k by the time they finish the plan - in that respect the name is a bit misleading. The real aim this to run continuously for 30 minutes, regardless of speed and distance. Thereafter you can work on the latter. Try to just focus on completing each run at this stage, and well done on the run 👍😁
I know I felt the same, in fact in week 3 I think I didn't get as far as week 2 😂. It does work though, you'll amaze yourself in later weeks. Keep going, it's worth it!
