I suffered quite a lot with achy calf muscles when I first started running. 🙁 But, a bit of strength work sorted it out. You could try doing calf raises while brushing your teeth - multitasking! Quite simply, raise your heels and go slowly up on to your toes, hold for a few seconds, repeat 15 times. Take it nice and gently. 😊 As we start to run, certain muscles can complain a bit as they are not quite strong enough!

Are you wearing good supportive shoes?

Does it feel tender if you squeeze it a little?

If so try YouTube for how to self massage it. I swear by my massage stick and still use it on my calves every night. It even goes on holiday with me!
