Had the lot today!

Woke up and thought ‘do I go, don’t really fancy it’ but not raining so yes I went. Garmin took forever to pick up the GPS signal - why? I was starting from my normal place. Anyway, off I trotted on my usual route and got to my first K marker but no buzz - Mr Garmin had switched off and didn’t want to record it! Set it again and off along the seafront, quite mild and wind behind me. Another K fine, then the wind got up and the rain came, then the hail came - and I was running into it by that time! Trotted back to where I’d left the car last night as there was no space in my street and drove it home. Got in soaked to the skin but really rather pleased with myself! Especially after I also picked up the full doggy bag left on the floor about a foot from the bin. Now can someone please tell me why anyone does that?! Happy running folks!

Well done for getting out there 💪🏼 It sounds like you had quite an eventful run this morning, but doesn’t it feel like such a great achievement when you’ve had to battle the weather and hills as part of it? Can’t comment on dog owners I’m afraid... they’re a rule to themselves 🤬 But good for you for picking it up. A lot of people would have just walked on past it. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Thankfully hills are one thing I don’t have to worry about! Except when I go to my brother’s and run in his local park!

Very brave getting out there today Oldgirlruns. But doesn’t it feel good when you step onto a hot shower afterwards? What have I started? Do you remember the days before c25k?

I certainly do! This morning

was definitely an ‘OGR weather’ run - but walking back from the pier just now it was even more wet and wild with the waves coming up right over the prom! Fantastic!
