Survived my second run back last night after a December break - followed week 6 run 2. So 2x 10 min runs. Didnt put too much thought into it, just kept running letting Sarah tell me when to start/stop, and pretty happy with the outcome 🙂
Now torn as to whether to try running a bit further (w6r3 would obvs be a longer run), or to give myself a bit more time to get back in the swing of things.
My reason for hesitating?... I actually almost ENJOYED my last 2 runs, as opposed to every time I've tried a longer run since graduating! I'm stressed about it beforehand, struggle round the run, and then unhappy with how it went. Then back to stressing about the next one!
Thoughts?..

I think you have to do what you fancy. There’s no harm in repeating, and if it makes you mentally stronger then that’s a good thing. I’ve had to go back in the plan due to time on the IC, so I’m currently repeating some weeks. I’ve found I’m less nervous about them having done them before, but I’m not blasé about them either. Try it and see how you feel 😁
If you've done R2 you should be able to do R3. W6R3 was one I did have to repeat when I was doing it, because I got the pacing all wrong and struggled to make it to 20 mins. It was all good, I knew what my mistake was, told myself I'd done W5R3 as a practice, took my rest day then went out and nailed it.
Don't let apprehension beat you. If you try it and it doesn't work, just regroup, and redo it. That said, if you want to do an extra R2 as preparation, go for it. Either way works, just do what feels right for you.
Thank you, yeah done it before so know I can, albeit that was a few months ago now. But repeated W6R2 today again no problems, so gonna have to do it sometime!!
All you're really doing is replacing the 3minute brisk walking section in the middle with an additional 5 minute running section insread. Maybe create a playlist with 5 songs all five minutes long. Run the first two songs the same way you ran 10 mins in R2, slow right down to run the third song, then run the final two songs as if you were doing the second half of R2.
Once it got into the unbroken running, I pretty much abandoned the podcasts and just made playlists that were the length I needed. W7 was 5 x 5 minute tracks, W8 was 7 x 4 minutes and W9, 6 x 5 minutes
