Feeling a bit better... after my 'race'

Just went out and did a slow and steady 4k on my usual route.

I noticed just how much harder my heart worked on the race.... (top of the picture) compared with my normal effort. (Alot bigger hills on the race route too).

So; I think I did well... and I guess I"m not looking forward to doing the full 5k as I've promised myself to do at some point.... but I WILL do it, even if it ends up being an over all slower pace!

Great effort, I wish I had HR readings as low as yours, dont ask. Pace doesn't matter, enjoying the run and completing it are the aims. Happy running

Thanks Grannytobe, I hadn't actually thought of my rate being 'low'... just know how hard it was at the consistantly 'high' rate recorded for the race!

Although I have little interest in getting into 10km runs, I expect I'm built for slow and steady more than quick and short...
