Hi 👋🏻 welcome and congratulations on starting the program! Did you do two runs in the same day? Only because the idea is that you do 1 run per day, with at least a days rest in between. This is important as the program is specifically designed to build on your progress in small steps and the rest days are vital for muscle repair and preventing injury as you go along.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress 👍🏼

Just be careful as it is designed smartly to build you up over 9 weeks. If you haven't done running in over 4 years I would really suggest sticking to the 1 run a day 3 times a week and don't run consecutive days. Last thing you want us a injury or over doing it. Trust me there's not worse. Especially when you start loving it and then you can't.

Well done on the 1st step. That's the hardest part

I find lots of baths, cold ones are better if you can stick it. Don't sit or ly too long (unless in bed) get up and walk around and do constant stretches. On you days off running go for a walk, these work wonders in helping your progression.

Good luck and keep us updated

Hi bud as a trucker I'm going to have to do more walking when I park up as I was getting lazy tbhwhich really affected my health, but got it in my head now that I have no choice apart from it killing me lol

Curtain, fridge or flat? Opt to get up in the trailer and move your own loads when you can, don't take the easy option if there's a choice.

Use the truck as a jungle gym, there's loads you can do, even heaving your own weight in and out of the cab is exercise.

Fridge box, use a bar (not sprung kind) lower level and use your arms like parallel bars to lift your feet off the ground, use the trailer sides for wall presses in privacy. Use the fridge for aircon and do a cold workout (squats etc), being a tad cooler burns more calories.

See everything with new eyes and move when you can. Run to the next site office, not saunter, park further away too. 👍🏻😉

Yeah I was ok until a few years ago when I had a couple of bad injuries. Put me on the couch for a while and I chose to stay there. Coupled with a desk job, I just got embarrassingly unfit and unhealthy.

I'm getting back on the right track though thanks to this program. The advice and support you get on here is great too. People have been through this (or are going through it), so they really know what they are talking about. Of course, I didnt always listen straight away 😄

Hello Scania77. Okay you've already had a telling off for doing 2 runs in one day and now you know why. 😂

Unlike you I had never ran before starting c25k and I followed the plan exactly as asked . Always a rest day between each run.

Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.

It's so great you've got your son running with you .

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

in reply to Buddy34

Hi buddy34 yes m8 got my hand slapped but totally agree with them tbh , it's me being eager bud lol , tbh whilst out in the truck I drink 3 to 4 litres per day but when the plugs been pulled I keep having to pull over for toilet breaks lol
