Hi I've just finished wk3 run 3 today n was wondering if people run every other day or 3 times a wk?
Also on rest days how much is too much walking? Yesterday I did 16.7km and today I've done 17.42. I felt my legs were heavy after the 1st 90sec run so maybe didn't walk fast enough as warm up had to go pretty much slower than normal walking speed during the 3 min runs but finished them all.

Thanks. Think I'm worried I'm going thro program too fast. But I feel like I miss running on non run days 😲 I have always up until now hated running n very lazy car driver. I uped my walking first at end of last year from none to now where I now choose to walk places.
I also do metafit on Tues and weds too but will look at low impact stuff for rest days.
Well.. walking is good on rest days... but I am not sure.... did you walk and run today?
When small runner in training was younger.. I walked on average ten miles a day for the two days we care for her...( rest days.. )
We run to suit our life style..My runs tend to be Sunday... Tuesday and Friday..other folk run Monday, Wed, and Friday and have weekends off.. it all has to fit in to suit your lifestyle
Rest day exercise is really important.. so try to vary what you do... not just walking
Yeah I did the 2 90sec runs and 2 3min runs covered bout 3km in runs n rest was walking but felt a slight twinge in my hamstring both yesterday n today on walk home only.
I'm doing my 1st park run next sat and have pretty muddy on 17th June n want to do my best.
I want to start running with my twins as well but they r only 5 as not sure when I will run when it's school holidays.
Thanks. Think the amount I did yesterday did as my legs were so heavy as soon as I started running n didn't feel like i was running with a natural stride as it felt like I was taking shorter steps. Will defo look at swimming or something instead.
I’ve run every other day right from W1R1, & on rest days stretch & walk about 10K steps but not much more, some days less. But the most important thing is listen to your body, & keep hydrated. And of course enjoy it xx
