Like many I don't write a lot on here but love to keep checking the forum to see how people are getting on. I have just finished Week 8 Run 2 this morning and it went well. It was very frosty and foggy as I headed towards the Humber Bank. Spotted two deer in the fields and thought 'what a great feeling the programme brings'. From Week 1 Run 1 to now I think how I've evolved as a 'runner' and as a person because running is something to take you away from yesterday or tomorrow and focus on the here and now, which I love. I find it a form of mindfulness. I'll graduate next week and then consolidate a while before Bridge to 10k and it's comforting knowing that support is there, even if like me I don't write much. Best wishes to all. If you are new, please don't give up. If you commit you will achieve in your own individual way and that really is the beauty of the programme. The support on here will be your wind beneath your wings.

Beautifully said 👏
You are a writer & a runner! 😄
I love the way you capture our individuality in our running &... “wind beneath your wings” - love it! 😄
Great post! And great to see that graduation is just around the corner.
You're absolutely right. The combination of this program and forum is amazing.
Well done and keep going!
Great running GTFC. Isn't it great when you get to see wildlife on a run , such an added bonus. 😊😊
Awesome post 👍👍
Nearly there ! Brilliant - post more . Great for encouragement and advice . Happy New a Year
Really nice post GTFC.
Talking of deer, I was running in the dark (up in relative nw highland wilderness) and must’ve startled one behind the gorse just beside the road as I heard sudden movement and realised after a moment that it wasn’t a serial killer lying in wait, but merely a deer more frightened by me than me by it! My heart rate spiked even higher for a bit though!
