About to start w8 and because I’m serious about this and carrying in when I graduate I’ve been treated to some new runners for a Christmas pressie. Went to up and running had gait analysis and I don’t over or under pronate and I run on the middle of my foot not the heel. Have got mizonu wave rider 23’s which the guy said would be perfect for me and they really are light and comfy. BUT after a couple of runs and sessions in the gym on the cross trainer I’m finding my feet are going numb to the point where I can’t feel my toes or my foot striking when I land! Is it just that they are new pressure points and need to settle in it have I been stuffed? They were dear but my hubby is keen to support me so bought them. I’d hate for them to be wrong!

This may sound like a silly question but... Have you tied the laces too tight? If not, go back to the shop and see what they say. Good luck and well done with your running progress so far! ❤️

Check your laces are not too tight. If not go back to the shop. Good luck 😊

I have just completely recked a pair of Brooks Running shoes, over tightening the laces. I felt the tightness offered me better support, however my aching feet were telling me I had got it totally wrong.

Elastic lock off laces, for me are the salvation. Fantastic result, feet feel good (rest of the body’s knackered)

Good Luck

Ps get out in the fresh air, the rain on your face makes you feel alive.
