Make sure you do your stretches and drink plenty water. Strap up and go slow. You can always walk if it gets bad. Running in pain isn’t good . I did the whole couch to 5k with a knee strap after hurting it when I first started but it has strengthened and “touch wood “ is good now.

Be careful of that knee, you dont want a longer term worse injury. Only you can tell. Strapping may help support but could mask further injury, having said that many strap up to complete a run. Listen to your body, presumably you can start the event running and slow to walk if niggle gets worse. Good luck

Everyone has always said dont run through pain. But you also have to know the difference between muscle ache due to use and pain due to injury. Make sure it is not an injury before you actually run. Be careful with yourself, you will regret it if you do the run and hurt yourself worse and can't run for even longer.

I think I twisted it while out walking my dogs as I nearly fell... so it is an injury decided to give it a few more days thanks for the advice

God. Well done. Better to protect and be sure than risk it for a biscuit!
