Running to de-stress

For a number of reasons, today hasn't been the best day. Everything is fine but I've had to do a few things that I don't like to do and it hasn't been enjoyable.

Music and my other go-to de-stressing techniques didn't help. But. I now have a new technique: running.

And, man, does it help. I just came back from one and I'm at peace for the first time all day.

I find it hard to believe that I was quite literally craving going for a run all morning and early afternoon. I've become one of Those People. And, you know what? It may be hard for me to believe, but I am loving it.

Happy running 😊

People who don't run find it really hard to understand, but it is a truly marvellous way of managing stress and dealing with negative emotions. Well done!

😂 You've well and truly got the running bug! Sorry it's been stressful recently but running is such a good antidote.

Welcome to this wonderful club of Those People who could never have imagined running, and who now find themselves setting the alarm for 6am on a Saturday morning and going to sleep the night before thinking about running- yup that was me today! 😀 The mental benefits came as a bit of a surprise to me as I started C25K to get fitter. It’s just an added bonus!

Glad you were able to end your tough day on a running high 👍
