Well done! How's that knee feeling?

Better, but strangely the more i rested/iced it the more it tightened up. No pain but I'm conscious of it. Went very slowly though and will continue the rice.

Yes, that can happen. You still need gentle stretching/movements. Keep an eye on it 👍🏻

Amazed to how easy the run was - running for 30 mins is going to be no problem - 5k (55mins at this speed) is my next goal.

This is the thing, we don't believe we can do it until we're halfway through it, then we wonder why we doubted ourselves! 👍🏻😁

Yes, but being lapped by fast runners does take the shine off a bit. I want to be one of those lithe young women, dressed all in black, sprinting along with their blonde locks cascading out behind them! But that would need loosing more than weight!

I think that might take more than a running programme 😉

Strangely, I never doubt myself in the beginning but when I'm done l doubt my decision making that prompted me not to doubt something that nearly finished me off. Kinda doubting the doubt.

I've been through injury and knee 'awareness'. That stuff needs constant monitoring. And yes, at times it hurts when resting but not when running. Now l know all the the signals, I know what each niggle means and there are a few. The key is to work on knee strengthening and to make it mandatory. My workouts were recommended by my physio and an osteopath (even a chiropractic at some stage) and all that business is designed around each individual so most of my stuff wouldn't be useful to you. I do lots of cross training involving martial arts where knees are very exposed but all that joy actually made them stronger. However, if l fell a 'particular' niggle in my left knee l will happily not run for a week or more. Your body awareness is probably your best guide.

Good run for you today Enxo, I bet looking at that photograph you were better running along the prom than being on a small boat out at sea, onwards and upwards to week 8.😊

TThank you! Saw some fast runners who lapped me a dozen times but otherwise it was a lovely solitary run.

Nice to see you took a few days rest Enxo, the sea may be rough but the picture is lovely.

Well done you 🤗
