Mrs LeeU ran indoors today to see how her asthma was and it was fine, so she did a consolidation run indoors.
I went out to the local parkrun course, I was aiming to follow Ju Ju's magic plan (loosely) which said today should have been a 3.5km run, so I did 3.7.
I'm doing my first ParkRun on Christmas Day, I'm getting sponsorship from people at work and the money is going to a local cancer charity but it feels like I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself for it, not sure why as it's only 5k.
I have no issues running 5k, I can do that with no issues but today it felt like a slog just aiming for 3.5k!
Maybe it's just an off day.
I think, my next run will be just go out, ignore distance and time and just run, see how that one goes, I'll put the alerts back on to ensure I don't go too fast again but other than that, just me, a bit of music and some jogging.
Happy running everyone.

Great Mrs LeeU got another consolidation run under her belt she must be so pleased.
As for your parkrun , take the pressure off you know you can run 5k so just go on the day and you'll really enjoy it and you're raising money for charity so well done. Hope your next run feels better as I suspect it will. Have a nice day both of you 🤗🤗
Hi LeeU ...glad to hear Mrs LeeU did ok today...I have found some days a struggle with my asthma...I have sounded like a 60 a day smoker most of the time!! But I just have to get out there because I have purposely not bought a treadmill, I like being outside and have managed so far..we're all different though so I'm glad Mrs LeeU has a solution 🤗
As for your run...some runs are just like that aren't they?? Yes, we do put too much pressure on ourselves, we are all guilty of that at some point or another...but your solution sounds just perfect, get out there and just find the love again!
We ran for 44 minutes sunday and i felt i was pushing us too fast too far even though we enjoyed it sort of but have decided to just plod slowly for half hour instead of following a plan may have another go with Ju Ju in spring mGlad MrsLeeU didn’t have asthma problems, and remember 5k isn’t that far and you can always walk a bit of parkrun
