The answer depends on how week 1 felt just enjoy your running
I’m going into my 4th of running from tomorrow but I shall be sucking at wk1 until I feel comfy. I think you have to do what’s best for you.
I’ve just completed week 5 and not had to repeat any stages. Please don’t think I’m bragging, definitely not!! I considered repeating weeks every time due to the fear factor of increased times, but the advice on this forum encouraged me to attempt the next stage and have pushed through everytime. BTW, I am 49yo, 3 stone overweight and not run for 20+ years!
I would have a go at week 2, and I’ll bet you will surprise yourself. You can always repeat if you don’t complete, but have a go first and trust in the programme and yourself!
I know the programme quite well having completed it 3 years ago. I started it again 4 months ago and had only my final run to complete when I became ill. I started back at the beginning last week after getting the all clear from the doc.
I think I may just ease myself back in. Like you I was 3 stone overweight when I started and have lost 1.5 stone so far. Halfway there.
