Completed my graduation run on the treadmill here in Durham today, the combination of frost and unknown routes made me take the easy option.
This is the second time I’ve completed C25K - the first was 12 years ago. I do love to run, even at my age and overweight state. I had to stop running about 5 years ago when I broke my left ankle in multiple places, being in a boot for 3 months, followed by other health complications a year or so later.
Interestingly, when I went to the running gear shop on the weekend to get gait analysis (and NEW SHOES!!!) that left ankle is still a bit unstable though I’m still in neutral shoes. Something to work on if I want to increase my distances. I’d love to get back into the 10k and maybe even another halfmarathon in a year or two.
Running with friends is the thing I’m really looking forward to!
