Only about 10% of graduates reach 5k in 30 minutes. Dont worry at all about speed at all, just go out and enjoy
I have the same feeling, but it’s all about speed vs endurance. I think I could run a 5k sub 30 minutes, but I know I would probably sustain an injury and end up taking 1 step forward, 5 steps backwards. Week 2, run 2 I did 4.13km in 29:46. I felt awesome though! 🤣
Are you following the set programme with interval running? You need to be careful you don't injure yourself and that is a set back!
Took me 4 months after graduation
I'm six months after graduation and still haven't got there. Some do, some don't. Don't worry about it!
Depends on you, I am only in week two, finding it a push but I am also doing strength training and use a cross trainer to avoid injuries. I thought it was 12 weeks if you follow the advice carefully, but now I’m not sure. Just don’t give up x
Its 5k or 30 mins non stop running - so don't worry about it - I think I was 3/4 months after graduating - I would not push your body beyond the programme as it is designed for you to complete and be injury free- it is not a race! Keep enjoying!
