Hi Annie, seeing those would make me run home fast
wooahh! Apparently the advice is not tocycle or run around bears as they will chase you. Do you have a bear bell?
Yikes! I miss the beauty of living near bear country but don't miss the fear of coming across bears. Of course when I lived there, I wasn't a runner but spent many hours hiking, mountain biking and camping. It wasn't uncommon to see them in the campgrounds - you sure learn to be a neat and tidy camper though, putting everything away and not leaving anything out. We upgraded from our tent to a cute little boler trailer once we moved there which I'm sure they could open it like a tin can if they really wanted to but I felt a little safer regardless. I'll be back in June with a friend and her daughter camping at Tunnel Mountain for the Banff HM. Can't wait! I hope you're enjoying your holiday and only see the wildlife from a safe distance ๐
๐ณ๐ฎ Annie how utterly terrifying! Stay safe xx
Oh my, you are so brave running with bears. Thatโll speed you up๐
๐คฃ not so brave now! Xx
Trying not to laugh but that is seriously scary, bet weโve never lost anyone off this forum to a bear before. Think you are allowed a few days off till free of bear country. Howโs your s&f planning going?
Scary but exciting at the same time . What an amazing thing to see ๐๐
Fantastic picture Annie, I think coming across a bear after a 5k run would soon get rid of any gremlins you may have lurking at the time.
Please do be careful, apparently their bites hurt a tad.
Wow! What an adventure youโre having ๐๐พ๐พ๐พ
