Hip injury

Hi all I am looking for some advice I’m not the fittest 42 year old and am a little over 13stone and at 5ft 5in I’m aware that I carry a lot of baggage when I run. I’ve been doing C25k for months now and completed week 9 ages ago. Recently tho when I have come back from I would say a steady jog my hips have been really painful. So have missed two weeks of running to see if it would settle which it did seem to. But Monday I went for a jog and my hip was really painful toward the end of my half hour jog and since then I have been unable to put a lot of weight on my hip when I walk and is just so painful. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this may be and if there is any over the chemist treatment/ stretching that I need to do or maybe my posture needs changing ?

First question is are you wearing proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop?

Unfortunatley not as unable to afford them at this moment in time!

Have a look at strength and flex which may help and maybe get some good insoles if you can’t get new running shoes insoles helped no end with Willows knee pain good luck
