Hi a friend would like to try couch to 5 k but has osteoporosis i have advised she talk to her doctor, she walks a lot does anyone else have experience of this?

Definitely should talk to a doctor or sports professional. Very wise to ask before heading out there.

While the impact of running is problematic for anyone with osteoporosis, that same impact is long term the best thing they can do to maintain bone strength.

Minimising impact is obviously crucial, so slow and steady is even more important to observe.

As suggested, consultation with medical professionals who know her case is advisable.
