Going to try to get my 4K time down

So, been going way too slow recently but no injuries! (yay)....

And having done a 4k run in more time than my 5k PB, I think I may just try to work ever so carefully on improving my 4K so that it eventually fits into 30 mins!

Any advice guys and girls?

Everyone has their own target, if yours is a 4K time, go for it. Can’t advise how to reduce as I’ve gone the other way and slowed down so I can increase distance without getting exhausted. Good luck

I found that the best way to improve my 5K time was to work on longer distances. Managed to obliterate my Parkrun PB a week after running my first HM. Maybe see if you can work up to 10K or so and see what happens?

As the guide to post C25K running states healthunlocked.com/couchto5... do 75-80% of your running at an easy conversational pace, to build stamina, then add in intervals or fartlek for the remainder to build fast twitch muscle development.
