Approaching week 5

I’ve one run of week 4 left, and am feeling a little overwhelmed at the thought of running 20 minutes this time next week! I am a complete convert to C25K and delighted that I’m running for 5 minutes, but just struggling to see how 20 minutes can be possible!

A lot of us on here thought exactly the same as you. Just trust the plan all the running you've done up until then will have prepared you for it. Good luck 😊

Trust the plan. I gulped when I saw it but went for it and the sense of satisfaction was enormous. I did wonder if I could just run w5 run 2 for ever. Now heading for 10 K.

Well firstly, well done on getting this far!👍🏻😁

Secondly, you're not at W5R3 yet... 😉

Here's a full explanation of W5 healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which makes perfect sense.

More importantly... have a bit more faith in yourself, and if not in yourself, then the programme... it's so clever, you'll be ready before you realise it 👌🏻😁

W5R3 is just another run in a carefully constructed training plan and the shortest one since W3.

Read the link from GoGo_JoJo relax and just pace yourself.

You can do this.

That’s a great read, thank you so much! *Almost* looking forward to it now!

Thanks for your advice, went for w5r3 this morning and managed it with only a slight wobble mid-hill 👏

Firstly, well done in getting out there running and you’re almost half way! 😀

Try not to get too obsessed with the time thing. It’s just another run and I promise you, we’ve all been there, and we’ve all been amazed at how this fabulous programme prepares you for each next step. It really does work. The 5 weeks hard work you’ll have done after W5R2 means you’ll be ready. You can do this and you will feel amazing. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your runs you’re doing great. 👍
