I'm back, graduated six months ago and was really enjoying running again after years of sitting on my backside, my knees swelled and I gave up, but I'm going again but going to take more rest between runs this time...

Welcome back and happy running. Rest is as important as the running. Balance is the key.

Yes I'm ready for a 2nd go, I think I tried to much too soon last time... I'm going to take two days rest instead of the one day this time and hopefully my knees will hold up... thanks for your reply

Great news and thank you as it gives me hope. Have had to stop due to knee pain and swelling after reaching week 6. Daily think about when I can get going again. Physio starts in a week then an mri.....

Welcome back, sounds like a sensible move taking extra rest days as and when you need them.

Me too, what I do now week 5R1but repeat it once finished, means 30 mins running but with for 3 min breaks means 5k in about 38 mins hope this helps
